About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This freestanding coat rack is a monumental and highly elegant example of craftsmanship from the late 19th century, made in Bohemia. Its design draws on the tradition of the popular Biedermeier style, which emphasized honest materials, symmetry, and high functionality. The coat rack captivates with its richly and precisely turned central column, giving this interior accessory a strong architectural character. The frame is crafted from solid beech wood, renowned for its exceptional strength and durability. During the comprehensive restoration, the original wood polish was sensitively revived, restoring the wood's natural warm tone, depth, and silky luster. The rack offers ample practical utility with three levels of turned hanging pegs featuring decorative finials. Maximum safety and functionality for daily use are guaranteed by the robust, four-legged stable construction of the base. This fully restored statement piece is an excellent choice for anyone seeking to infuse their interior with historical charm and prestige. It will stand out beautifully in representative entrance halls, corridors, stylish offices, or traditionally styled restaurants and cafes.
