This restored Biedermeier armchair and accompanying stool originate from Austria, dating to the 1830s. The set exemplifies the refined elegance of the Biedermeier period, characterised by its graceful curves and emphasis on the natural beauty of the wood.
Constructed from a combination of beech, oak, and cherry wood, the frames feature intricate inlay work that highlights the craftsmanship of the era. The armchair is designed with sweeping armrests that terminate in distinctive scroll motifs, while the stool rests on elegant curule-style legs joined by a turned stretcher. Both pieces are upholstered in a classic striped fabric with delicate floral patterns in shades of green, beige, and pink. Original upholstery was professionally cleaned and preserved.
