This table lamp is an excellent example of the intersection between Art Deco and Bauhaus styles in 1930s Czechoslovakia. Its design reflects the era fascination with modern materials and functional simplicity. Thanks to its subtle form and the contrast between the brilliant chrome and the soft light of the parchment, it is perfect for both a workspace and as an ambient light in a modern living room.
The item has undergone complete restoration. The chrome-plated steel construction has been professionally cleaned and polished to a high luster. The lamp features new electrical wiring with a period-accurate black braided cable and is fully functional. A unique technical feature is the clever attachment of the parchment shade directly onto the bulb; this system replaces a traditional joint, allowing the shade to be rotated to any angle or direction, making the lamp a highly versatile and practical accessory.
