ProfessionalProduct description
Catalog number: B8
Producer: Robert Slezák, Bystřice pod Hostýnem
Architect: Arnošt Beck
This elegant Bauhaus-style étagère originates from Czechoslovakia from the first half of the 20th century. This is a design piece by architect Arnošt Beck, manufactured by Slezákovy závody, Bystřice pod Hostýnem, under catalog number B8. Interestingly, this étagère was later also offered by KOVONA n.p., which speaks to its popularity and timeless appeal.
The étagère is crafted from seamless chrome-plated steel tubing, which has been professionally cleaned to restore its original luster. The shelves of the étagère are veneered with birch burl, distinguished by its highly unusual and distinctive wood grain, lending it a luxurious and unique appearance. Its original polish has been revived, highlighting the natural beauty of the material.
This étagère is an excellent combination of functionalist Bauhaus design, quality materials, and precise craftsmanship. It will be a stylish and practical addition to any interior, ideal for displaying decorations, books, or plants.
