Product description
A unique vintage waterfall Art Deco dresser with beautiful original walnut veneer. The dresser had previously been painted. During the restoration, the old paint was removed and the original veneer was uncovered and restored as carefully as possible. The beautiful variation in the wood grain and geometric veneer patterns can now be appreciated again. The walnut has been finished with Osmo Satin Hardwax Oil. The rest of the dresser is painted in Fusion Mineral Paint Cast Iron, a deep, almost-black shade that creates a beautiful contrast with the warm walnut. The original brass handles have been cleaned and polished, and fine gold detailing around the drawers adds a little extra Art Deco drama. The inside has also been refreshed: all three drawers are lined with new wallpaper, with subtle gold details that complement the gold accents on the dresser. There is one shallow and two deep drawers, offering plenty of storage space. The dresser is structurally sound and sturdy. As with any vintage piece, traces of its history remain. There are some light sanding marks in parts of the veneer from a previous treatment. These are shown as clearly as possible in the photos. The last two photos show the dresser before restoration. A one-of-a-kind statement piece combining warm walnut, almost black and just a touch of gold.
