Product description
René Malaval, a welder by trade, came up with the idea to recycle discarded sheet metal from the perforation process used to make ammunition bases during World War II.
Starting in 1945, he used these perforated sheets to make inexpensive furniture for city planning and supermarkets: benches, trash cans, chairs and patio tables. This furniture, published by Bloc Metal, is part of French postwar industrial design.
