Designed by René Herbst in 1930
Unique open structure and very comfortable tilt mechanism in black tubular metal. Seat and backrest are made of black bungee cords (elastic bands). This combination of materials has become emblematic of Herbst's work. When Le Corbusier founded the Union des Artistes Modernes (UAM) in 1930, Herbst was one of the first members.
