Antique Religious Holy Water Font / Home Altar – L. Piedboeuf – Ca. 1900 – Very Rare
Beautiful and richly detailed antique religious object, signed “L. Piedboeuf”, attributed to the sculptor Lambert Piedboeuf (1863–1950).
The piece depicts Mary with Child at the top in an architectural niche. At the bottom is the holy water font, which is adorned on both sides with particularly finely detailed religious relief scenes. Details:

• Marked: DÉPOSÉ / registered design
• Dating: ca. 1900
• Presumably silver-plated cast metal / métal blanc

• Religious scenes along both sides of the holy water font

Very good to excellent condition for its age.
No noticeable breaks or missing parts; the fine reliefs and details are exceptionally well preserved. Beautiful natural patina of age.
A particularly decorative and collectible religious art object by a documented sculptor, much more refined than the usual holy water fonts from this period.
