Forged/hammered red tombac candlestick, designed and made by Jan Koldeweij, ornamental blacksmith in Voorburg, circa 1940-1944. Koldeweij (1923-2017) apprenticed with Jan Kriege of Woerden during the war years. This hammered tombac candlestick is clearly crafted in his style and technique.
Five knobs mounted on the round base: height with pin 42.5 cm; without pin 36 cm; drip tray diameter 17.5 cm, base diameter 18.5 cm.
A separate flat brass inner bowl is also available to collect candle wax and to raise the candle.
