Charming 1950s floor lamp, combining lighting and storage in a single clever object. The structure made of black lacquered steel extends with a curved arm supporting the lampshade, while a wooden shelf provides a practical surface (for a book, glass, phone). Below, a curved metal magazine rack with zigzag graphic lines elegantly completes the ensemble.
An iconic piece of post-war French design, in the spirit of the art metal workshops of the time (Mathieu Matégot, Raymond Subes), perfect for a living room or reading nook.
The floor lamp is height adjustable and the lampshade can be oriented. The lampshade is original. The yellow trim has been replaced to reinforce it.
