Rare Vintage IKEA DIRIGENT Aluminum Wall Unit Element – 1999. For lovers of vintage modernism and mid-century/90s IKEA design: An original shelf/component of the sought-after IKEA DIRIGENT system. Introduced in the late 90s and at the time designed as a premium, industrial storage system. Unlike standard metal shelving units, the DIRIGENT series is entirely constructed from sleekly finished, extruded aluminum with integrated side profiles.
