The statue immediately stands out due to its extremely finely engraved robe with floral motifs, a technique that reached its artistic peak around 1920. Microscopic examination of the interior (Dino-Lite) confirms its authenticity: the natural crystal formation and mineralization of the bronze alloy indicate a natural aging process of over a century. Traces of old fire gilding in the deeper pores give the statue a warm, lived-in appearance. Symbolism & Presence Depicted in the Bhumisparsha mudra – touching the earth as witness – this statue symbolizes steadfastness and the moment of enlightenment. The combination of the dark bronze color of the skin and the richly decorated robe creates a 'Ganga-Jumna' effect, testifying to superior craftsmanship.
