This pair of 18th-century Italian Nightstands is made of painted wood, showcasing the craftsmanship of the era. The pieces are distinguished by their curved silhouette and cabriole legs, characteristic of the Rococo style, as well as their delicate hand-painted decorations.
Each Nightstand features a wooden structure with a painted finish in a palette of blue-grey, cream, and terracotta. The drawer fronts, sides, and top are adorned with chinoiserie scenes, an exotic motif very popular in Europe in the 18th century, depicting landscapes with pagodas and figures. The two drawers of each table offer practical storage space, complemented by small wooden pull knobs.
The set displays an authentic patina that reflects its history and age. The worn finish and colors softened by time give these pieces of furniture a unique character and undeniable charm, preserving their original structural and aesthetic integrity.
Ideal for flanking a bed in a master bedroom or guest room, this pair of Nightstands will bring a touch of historical elegance to a classic, eclectic, or Parisian-style interior. They can also be used as side tables in a living room to add an artistic and refined note.
