Rare Pair White Ceramic Lion Sculptures Mottahedeh Design Italy - Vintage Blanc de Chine
For sale is a splendid and rare pair of glossy white porcelain sculptures depicting two large felines (a lion with a mane and a lioness) resting on a rectangular base.
These are authentic Decorative Objects pieces marked on the bottom "A MOTTAHEDEH DESIGN - ITALY", synonymous with the highest artisanal quality and refined design intended for the collecting and luxury furnishing market.
These lion and lioness sculptures produced by Mottahedeh echo the Neoclassical style (inspired by the famous lions of artist and sculptor Antonio Canova).
Main features:
Manufacturer: Mottahedeh & Company is one of the most prestigious American brands in the world in the production of luxury porcelain, dinnerware, and reproductions of high-end historical ceramics.
Material: Ceramic / Glossy white glazed porcelain (Blanc de Chine style)
Subjects: Pair of majestic felines finely modeled in anatomical details and expressions
Dimensions (each piece):
Length: [40 cm]
Width/Base Depth: [12 cm]
Height: [18 cm]
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. They show slight and normal signs of age. I note a micro chip on one ear of the lioness, almost barely visible in the last attached photo.
Professional packaging: As these are fragile and valuable pieces, I guarantee reinforced packaging with bubble wrap and a double shock-proof box.
Notes for buyers
The two pieces are sold exclusively as a pair. The published photos are real and form an integral part of the description. For any further information, details, or additional photos, please do not hesitate to contact me.
