Beautiful and very rare orange and dark brown fat lava vase with a hole in the middle, made of polychrome glazed earthenware, by Walter Gerhards KG, West Germany ceramics from the late 50s, early 60s. Walter Gerhards KG was founded in 1957 (and registered in 1959) in Ransbach-Baumbach by Walter Gerhards and his wife Elfriede Gerhards. Gerhards vases are highly sought after by collectors and lovers of West Germany ceramics worldwide. This vase is in good vintage condition, unfortunately not perfect, with light signs of age and use appropriate for its age and material, three small chips in the glaze, check the photos for more details.
