This very rare wall light by Giovanni Cenedese exemplifies the bold aesthetic of 1970s Murano glass design. The fixture features a distinctive geometric silhouette, combining a flared upper shade with a spherical mid-section and a tapered finial, creating a compelling visual rhythm. Giovanni Cenedese was a master Murano glass craftsman who set up his own business in Venice in 1970's, producing top quality glass lighting, sculpture and objetd'art ; pieces that are highly collectable today.
Crafted entirely from Murano glass, the piece showcases a sophisticated colour palette. The primary shade is rendered in a soft, translucent pink, which transitions into a vibrant green sphere, culminating in a speckled pink and white finial. The glass is mounted on a white metal backplate, designed for secure wall installation. The designer's signature is subtly etched into the glass, confirming its provenance.
