Product description
A beautiful and authentic piece of Belgian ceramics from the 1950s/60s. This organically shaped bowl is a design by the renowned ceramist Hubert Bequet from his heyday in Quaregnon.
What makes this piece special is the detailed "Poissons" decor: a hand-painted spectacle of fish and waves in powerful shades of orange, black, and green. The bowl is richly finished with gold accents (24k) on the rim and the two characteristic bulbous handles.

The underside of the bowl contains important features for the connoisseur:
Model number 475: This number is embossed in the porcelain and refers to the specific, whimsical design of this series.
Size number 4: Also embossed, indicating the specific dimensions within this early production line.
Signature: Fully marked with "H. Bequet. Quaregnon. Belgium".
Condition:
The bowl is in very beautiful vintage condition without chips or cracks. As is fitting for an object of this age, there is some light, authentic wear on the gold plating of the spheres. This contributes to the vintage character and confirms that it is the original gilding.
