Product description
Superb large antique Ironstone compote dish from the Longchamp earthenware factory, "Pâquerettes" polychrome model, very rare, late 19th early 20th century circa 1890-1910. Magnificent romantic, bucolic Art Nouveau decoration of daisies, foliage, grasses and scrolls in dark pink transfer, delicately hand-enhanced with fuchsia pink, mauve, nuanced green, yellow and brown tones. The slightly scalloped rim and simple pedestal highlight the elegance of the interior and exterior decoration.
25.5cm in diameter, 13.5cm in height, 11cm in diameter for the base and approximately 6.5cm in bowl depth. Exceptional condition, close to new for a piece of this age. Some light internal use scratches, 1 small manufacturing defect on the rim and a small raised grain in the center, very discreet. Approximately 1kg.
