Product description
Rare early 20th-century bentwood armchair by Fischel.
An unusual and highly decorative model featuring four legs arranged in a distinctive diamond configuration, elegant curved bentwood supports and a continuous rounded frame forming the arms and back.
The wooden seat and large shaped backrest are beautifully grooved, giving the chair a particularly graphic and architectural appearance.
The original Fischel paper label is still present underneath the seat, confirming the manufacturer.
The bent beechwood has developed a beautiful warm honey patina with authentic signs of age and use. The chair remains highly decorative and works particularly well in vintage, eclectic, wabi-sabi or contemporary interiors.
Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear, scratches and marks consistent with its age. A localized old area of wear/damage is visible on the bentwood frame and is clearly shown in the photographs. Original patina preserved.
