Product description
The "Ariadne" model is an Art Deco pressed glass jardiniere, produced by the German manufacturer Glasfabriek Brockwitz between 1929 and 1931. It features vividly colored glass, decorated with delicate, gilded floral or rose friezes.

In perfect condition, the gold is slightly worn off in some places.
The Brockwitz art glass factory produced some fantastic Art Deco pressed glassware over the years. It was founded in Dresden, Germany in 1903. Brockwitz experienced a golden era at their Ottendorf factory from 1915 to 1929, when it closed its doors temporarily due to financial difficulties. Production peaked in 1941, then stopped suddenly due to the Second World War.
Brockwitz’s pressed glass designs were highly innovative and distinct from those made by other glass factories at the time. Going beyond merely practical, their creations were bold and artistic.
