Rare Ant Arne Jacobsen Fritz Hansen tripod model 3100 Rare very early edition 'Ant Chair' by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. This chair is most likely from the 1950s or 1960s. Used, well maintained and obviously shows slight signs of use after 60 years. All parts are original. The "Ant Chair," Fritz Hansen model 3100, was designed in 1952 by Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen for the Novo Nordisk canteen. This 1950s chair is made of beautifully shaped curved teak plywood, with a three-legged base of nickel-plated metal. No rough veneer damage or other deterioration. Seat is firm. No crack in top layer of veneer. Marked: manufacturer's name (FH) at bottom.
