Magnificent Coconut from Las Choyas, Mexico, agate and quartz geode.
It is rare because it has the exact proportions of a real coconut, from which it takes its name.
Some are darker, others have a nearly filled center, and some are small and don't really resemble coconuts.
Besides its ideal dimensions of approximately 13.5 cm in diameter and 6.5 cm in height, it possesses the perfect whiteness of quartz with its discreet agate crown. This one is exceptional; such fine examples are very rare.
It is in very good condition and was not damaged during opening. Many videos show a rudimentary system of bicycle chains being used to open them, but this was not the case here. It retains its hemispherical shape.
It weighs approximately 800 grams.
I am offering it at a price that is more in line with a lower quality one. This is a beautiful item to add to a mineral collection.
