An absolute masterpiece for collectors of European heritage and Art Deco design! This authentic 1930s wooden kitchen spice rack (kruidenrek) is a premium piece of history, originally retailed by the iconic Dutch luxury department store de Bijenkorf.
The back of the cabinet features its original vintage paper store tag, proudly displaying the authentic 1930s typography, the classic logo, and the hand-written historical price of 22.50 guilders – a clear testament to its high-end, luxury status at the time. With its beautiful curved bentwood lines and functional layout, this piece perfectly embodies the timeless elegance of the Art Deco era. The central built-in spring-driven clock movement is fully functional and running nicely.
Glass Jars & Condition:
Comes with its rare, original textured glass bottles. Each jar is clearly embossed with the prestigious German "von Poncet" maker's mark on the bottom—a highly sought-after brand among antique glass collectors. All individual glass jars are in completely pristine, flawless condition!

To ensure full transparency for collectors, please note the following minor points typical for a piece nearing its 100th anniversary:
Some of the metal lids are somewhat deformed and cannot be easily screwed onto the jars.
One of the flat glass window inserts in the metal lids is cracked/broken.
The internal cork gaskets lining the metal lids are mostly missing (1 or 2 remain as a reference) and can easily be replaced with fresh cork strips to ensure an airtight seal.
