A unique interior design piece, a statement piece.
Unique Ceramic Sculpture - Raku Fish on Steel Base (1.60m)
A beautiful and distinctive ceramic artwork from 1995. This large, expressive fish is crafted in a Raku style with a refined crackle pattern and turquoise accents on the fins.
This object is a true statement piece for a spacious hallway, loft, or office.
Material: Ceramic (earthenware), likely made using the Raku technique. This is recognizable by the characteristic crackle pattern in the white glaze.
Design: Postmodern style; caricatural fish with large, bulging eyes, thick lips, and turquoise/sea-green fins.
Signature: Hand-engraved monogram "JS" and the date "95" (1995).
Specifications: Weight: approx. 15 kg.
Dimensions: The ceramic sculpture measures 60 x 50 cm and stands 1.60 m tall on a sturdy steel base.
Weight: Approx. 15 kg.
Condition: Excellent condition, unique handmade object. The top fin has a glued corner.
Placement: Always place the sculpture on a sturdy, level floor due to its weight of 15 kg and its height.
Maintenance: Dust only with a soft brush or dry cloth. The crackle lines in the Raku fish are sensitive to liquids.
Transportation: Preferably transport the fish and the steel pin separately to prevent breakage at the mounting point.
