This object is an iconic vintage wall lamp named "Sterrenregen" (Star Rain).
It was designed in 1966 by the Dutch architect Evert Jelle Jelles for the well-known lighting brand Raak Amsterdam.
Features of the lamp:
* Design: The lamp consists of a square, silver-grey lacquered metal plate (often aluminium) with a pattern of shell-shaped perforations.
* Light effect: When the lamp is on, light shines forward through the small openings, resembling a rain of stars or dewdrops. Additionally, light shines upwards and downwards along the wall.
* Models: The lamp was released under various model numbers, including C-1624 and C-1627-20.
* Dimensions: Most dimensions are approximately 27 x 27 cm with a depth of 10 cm.
