About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
The Raak Maxi Globe B-1261 is an iconic pendant lamp in Dutch design history, produced by Raak Amsterdam. This design is characterized by the ingenious construction of a lamp within a lamp, resulting in a fascinating play of light and a timeless silhouette. The lamp is crafted from grey smoked glass, combined with a brass-colored metal cylinder that houses the light source. The spherical glass shade has a diameter of 26 centimeters, and the total height of the fixture is 42 centimeters. The original Raak Amsterdam label, stating 'made in holland' and the model number B-1261, is still present on the inside of the socket. The lamp is designed for a light source of up to 100 watts. The fixture is in used but beautiful condition. The combination of smoked glass and brass-colored metal creates a warm, atmospheric appearance. This pendant lamp comes into its own perfectly in a Mid-Century Modern or contemporary interior. The Raak Maxi Globe is a sophisticated addition above a dining table, in a hallway, or as mood lighting in a living space, where the Dutch Design heritage subtly draws attention.
