This table lamp is an emblematic creation by the Dutch manufacturer Raak, recognized for its clean aesthetic and precise engineering. This specific model, identified by the RAAK 185 mark on its base, perfectly illustrates the functionalist and elegant approach to mid-century design. The structure consists of a central stem and a circular base in brushed silver metal, topped with a white dome-shaped shade. The shade diffuses a soft and homogeneous light thanks to a lighting system accommodating three bulbs, controlled by a classic pull-chain switch. The base is weighted by a robust cast iron plate, ensuring optimal stability. The piece is in good condition, retaining its structural integrity. It presents an authentic patina that testifies to its history and use over the decades. With its geometric silhouette and warm lighting, this luminaire integrates harmoniously into a contemporary office, on a sideboard, or as a focal point in a modernist-inspired living room. This particular lamp was part of the furniture of Station Flaine (74) implemented by the architect Marcel Breuer.
