About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is the iconic 'Bolide' lamp, a classic design by Hermian Sneyders de Vogel for the Dutch lighting brand RAAK. With its dynamic, flower-like shape, this model is a beautiful example of Space Age design from the 60s and 70s.
The lamp is constructed from multiple metal lamellae in a soft cream color, arranged around a central light source. The design uses a mirrored light bulb, which reflects the light backwards onto the blades. This creates an atmospheric, indirect light effect without direct glare. The construction is both clever and decorative, making the lamp a sculptural object even when switched off.
This vintage wall or ceiling lamp is in good condition, with a character that matches its age. It is a versatile piece that adds a touch of Dutch Design and retro charm to a hallway, living room, or bedroom. The lamp fits effortlessly into both a modern and a vintage-inspired interior.
