For a long time Studio Truly Truly has been interested in sculpting upholstery with a simple gesture of pressure. The armchair explores this idea through a bold wooden frame shaping voluminous cushions into natural, flowing curves. The softness of the upholstery is exaggerated by the brutality and rigidity of the timber, which lends a functional and aesthetic visual play.
The solid presence of oak anchors the piece, creating a visual framework that both contains and contrasts the upholstered volumes. This juxtaposition is key to the drama of the armchair.
Exhibited at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen 2025.
