RARE BILUMEN PRATER TABLE LAMP – IN THE STYLE OF ROBERT SONNEMAN (CA. 1990s)
The Bilumen Prater table lamp is a rare and compelling piece of postmodern lighting design, produced in the 1990s by the Italian manufacturer Bilumen, reportedly as a limited edition for Rabobank. While its precise origins remain debated, some sources attribute the design to Gregotti Associati, a prominent Italian design studio, while others point to a strong stylistic resemblance to the work of Robert Sonneman, the influential American lighting designer known for his sleek, modernist forms.
