This iconic PK22 armchair was designed by Poul Kjærholm and is an early version produced by E. Kold Christensen. For collectors and enthusiasts, this is an important detail: E. Kold Christensen produced Kjærholm's designs until the early 1980s, after which production was taken over by Fritz Hansen. An example by E. Kold Christensen is therefore considered an early and sought-after collector's item. The armchair still has its original brown leather upholstery, which is a major plus. Many PK22s have been reupholstered over the years. Original upholstery is valued higher due to its authenticity and the character developed over decades. The leather is in beautiful, good vintage condition with a lovely patina. As appropriate for a chair of this age, there are signs of use, including wear on some corners and a scratch on the seat.
