Product description
Beautiful pot/vase from Morocco, hand-painted, signed. Originating from the Tamegroute region. Unique design that you don't often see. Personally, it reminds me of a pencil. Handmade and signed with the name 'Lame Nara'. Very small chip, see last photo, but it's not bothersome. It is handmade after all. I have a lot of experience shipping fragile materials (including glass vases and Christmas baubles, everything delivered intact). I will send you a photo of the packing process and the package. Vase height: 32 cm Total height: 44 cm Diameter: 11 cm (Tamegroute is pottery that is handmade in the typical, rich forest green/yellow color. Originally, the pottery comes from the village of Tamegroute, the last place before the Sahara begins, in the south of Morocco. Near Tamegroute lies the Draa River. Clay is extracted from this river, which is used to make Moroccan pottery. Potters then create the most beautiful creations on their potter's wheel, and the crockery is placed in the sun for 24 hours to dry. Once the crockery is dry, the glaze is applied. This glaze contains a small amount of copper, which gives Tamegroute its characteristic color. How the glaze is precisely made is known only to the families from Tamegroute themselves. They pass on the secret recipe from generation to generation. Finally, the Moroccan pottery is fired. The crockery is stacked, giving the pieces the stiffer, slightly protruding 'points'. After firing, the unique creations are completely ready!)
