Product description
This rare postmodern table lamp was produced by Fuder in Germany during the 1980s. It was also sold by Ikea. The design stands out due to the playful, architectural lines and the double, adjustable light sources characteristic of the design language of that decade. The lamp consists of a sturdy black base, slender chrome-plated metal rods, and two conical frosted glass shades. The construction allows the direction of the light to be adjusted, providing both functional reading light and atmospheric indirect lighting. The contrast between the shiny chrome, the matte black metal, and the soft glass gives the whole a distinctive character. The lamp is in good, functional condition, retaining its original appearance. The fixture features the original wiring, and the Fuder brand label is still present on the base. The metal rings around the shades are missing. This fixture fits perfectly into an eclectic or postmodern interior. It is a striking object for a desk, a sideboard, or a side table, where it immediately adds a graphic element to the room.
