Exceptional, geometric art object by the renowned Swiss ceramist and sculptor Ernst Häusermann (*1947 in Lenzburg).
This sculptural work is an optical homage to the famous, infinite „Penrose-Dreieck“.
The special feature of this design is its immaculate, mathematical symmetry: The sculpture forms an optically perfectly balanced, harmonious square with sides of approximately 16.5 cm x 16.5 cm.
It combines the radical design aesthetic of the 1980s with masterful craftsmanship.
Artist: Ernst Häusermann (works represented, among others, in the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich).
Signature / Mark: Marked on the bottom with the original, embossed artist's mark (embossed stamp „H im Kreis“).
High-quality, densely fired stoneware with a noble, silky-smooth, matte-black glaze (beige shard visible on the unglazed base ring).
Execution: The mitered edges are crafted with extreme precision – a masterful achievement in the drying and firing of clay.Special feature: Thanks to the two obliquely opened tubes at the top, the object is not only a fascinating sculpture (Optical Illusion) but can also be functionally used as a twin or double vase.
