A set of adjustable “Heron” desk lamps, designed by Isao Hosoe for Luxo, Norway in 1994. The Heron is among Hosoe’s most celebrated designs, merging sculptural elegance with exceptional functionality. Inspired by the form of a bird, the lamp’s mechanism keeps its head (the hood) perfectly parallel to the desk surface at all times. Its smooth plastic body and aerodynamic silhouette embody the refined futurism of Postmodern Scandinavian design. These examples are in excellent and fully working condition, a rare find of an iconic Space Age design classic. Priced individually.
