Product description
This is a Postmodern table lamp produced by the Polish lighting manufacturer Polam during the 1960s. The piece is notable for its monolithic form, crafted from a single piece of opaque white glass that serves as both base and shade.
Originating from Poland, this lamp exemplifies the design trends of its era with a sculptural, minimalist silhouette. The entire body is constructed from glossy white milk glass, featuring a baluster-shaped stem that flows seamlessly into a rounded, bell-like shade. This unified construction creates a soft, diffused light when illuminated. The lamp retains its original wiring and European two-pin plug, as seen in the provided images.
The overall condition of the lamp is excellent, consistent with its age. The glass body is free from significant signs of wear, retaining its original high-gloss finish and structural integrity. The original manufacturer's mark from Polam is present and legible on the underside of the base.
With its clean lines and compact form, this lamp is well-suited as a bedside light or an accent piece on a side table or console. Its timeless white colour and sculptural presence allow it to integrate into various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary and minimalist spaces.
