An exceptional postmodern bar cabinet by the Italian designer Carlo Malnati, created around 1990. The piece is characterized by its sculptural design, high-gloss black body, and the combination of glass and decorative wood inlays. The cylindrical bar element on the side is particularly striking, featuring intricate geometric inlay work in various wood tones. The cylinder opens fully to reveal two storage areas separated by a round glass shelf – ideal for storing glasses, bottles, or bar accessories. The decorative inlay motif is also incorporated on the top. Four gently curved drawers in the central section provide ample storage space. An additional enclosed storage compartment completes the piece. The curved, slightly greenish-tinted glass top forms the upper edge and underscores the characteristic postmodern design. The entire sideboard rests on an elongated black base with rounded ends and small casters, allowing the piece to be moved despite its size. The combination of glossy black surfaces, glass, curves, and decorative inlay gives the sideboard a particularly striking character. Condition: Good vintage condition with signs of age and use. The glass top has fine surface scratches but is otherwise intact. Minor chips, paint abrasion, and fine scratches are visible on the black lacquer, especially on exposed edges, the base, and the drawers. Overall, the piece presents itself in authentic, age-appropriate vintage condition. Dimensions: L210 x W56 x H70-75 cm
