Artifici coffee table, designed by Paolo Deganello for Cassina, 1985.
Two table tops of superimposed glass plates, beneath with exchangeable graphic inlets from textile, legs in natural wood, composite base, made of colored quartz-sand and polyester.
Paolo Deganello graduated in architecture at Florence in 1966, when he co-founded the Archizoom Associates studio. Together with other avantgardist architects, like Andrea Branzi, Gilberto Corretti and Massimo Morozzi Archizoom they contributed to the critical discourse on architecture and environment, shaping perspective for a radical, postmodern design movement. Parallel to being part of the discourse on utopian architecture the group further developed some design items.
In 1972, after Archizoom was discontinued, Paolo Deganello continued with his own studio in Milan, with commissions in Italy and abroad and as a professor and lecturer. In the 1980ies and 1990ies he develops lighting objects and furniture amongst others for Cassina, Driade, Vitra and is invited to join the Dokumenta art exhibition in Kassel, Germany.

Good vintage condition with signs of use and wear appropriate to its age. Few slight scratches.
