About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This set of two postmodern armchairs, produced in Germany during the 1980s, exemplifies the bold visual language of the era. The design is characterised by its striking abstract upholstery, which features a dynamic interplay of geometric shapes and vibrant colours, creating a strong focal point for any interior.
The armchairs are fully upholstered in a durable textile, showcasing a complex pattern that incorporates shades of orange, blue, green, yellow, and black. The curved, enveloping backrests flow seamlessly into the seat, providing both comfort and a distinctive silhouette. Each chair rests on a central, spherical black foot, adding a playful, architectural element to the overall composition. The dimensions and construction reflect the robust manufacturing standards of 1980s German furniture design.
Both chairs remain in good vintage condition, retaining their original upholstery and structural integrity. The fabric displays a natural patina consistent with age and use, preserving the authentic character of the pieces.
These armchairs are ideally suited for eclectic or postmodern interiors, serving as functional art pieces. They pair exceptionally well with minimalist surroundings, where their vibrant patterns can be fully appreciated as statement elements.
