Beautiful print on blueback paper of Portrait of my rabbit 'Ola', poster size; 50x70. Limited edition in a beautiful French frame with glass. By Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort. Studio located in Harderwijk. Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. In the winter of 2017, she began with portraits of forest animals, including this 'Old Bambi', the first in a series of 15 portraits. Bambi is adult and has antlers. The original drawing was made with PRN, ink, marker, and tea. Later, during the corona period, she highlighted Dutch birds! - She graduated in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she came into contact with art at an early age and started painting when she was 10 years old. She enjoyed visiting museums and is grateful for the early training she received. It has provided the backdrop for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colors, and freedom to move. The use of color is an important part of her artistic vocabulary: "Colors make people happy, and I want to bring joy and positivity into the world. Her color palette can represent an animal's natural environment, a hunt, or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And however more subdued, the background is also part of this. She uses strange little shapes of color to 'fill' her animals. These represent imaginary continents," she explains, "and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be. In my artistic world, anything is possible." More work: www.britt-art.nl
