The Festival of Fools was a legendary international theater festival for clowns, mimes, and street artists that took place annually in Amsterdam between 1975 and 1984. Initiated by Jango Edwards, among others, it was known for its anarchistic, innovative, and humorous acts. The Festival of Fools had 9 editions and was an ode to absurdism and anarchy by quirky performers, jugglers, musicians, and magicians. Jango Edwards performed in Germany, France, Italy, and his later home country, Spain. He performed in Tunisia, Morocco, Colombia, and Australia, and even in Moscow.
