Product description
A charming post-impressionist painting depicting a rural village in the Beaujolais region, complete with a church steeple and red-roofed houses, set amidst a verdant landscape. The painting is executed in oil on panel with a beautiful, impasto technique, lending depth and texture to the whole.
The work is signed “Prot” in the lower right corner, and the back of the canvas indicates Claude Prot, a former student of the painter Pierre Pelloux.
