Painted by Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort.
Studio located in Harderwijk. Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. During the corona period, she focused extra attention on Dutch birds! - She completed a degree in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she came into contact with art early on and started painting when she was 10 years old. She enjoyed visiting museums and is grateful for the early education she received. It has given her the background for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colors, and freedom to wander. The use of color is an important part of her artistic vocabulary: 'Colors make people happy, and I want to bring joy and positivity into the world. bring.' Her palette can represent an animal's natural environment, hunting, or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And no matter how subdued, the background is part of it. She uses remarkably small color shapes to 'fill' her animals. 'These represent imaginary continents,' she explains, 'and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be. In my artistic world, anything is possible. My animals can roam freely.'
