Product description
This expressive work by the artist Paul Antonius is entitled "Portrait" and was created in 1994. It is an impressive mixed technique on paper that captivates with its multi-layered structure, subtle color gradients and haptic structures. The picture support is partly torn open and collaged, giving the work an almost sculptural quality.
Figurative elements and emotional tensions can be sensed in the abstract depiction, which are typical of Antonius' sensitive and experimental style. The muted, pastel tones of blue, gray, ochre and red create a poetic depth and invite interpretation.
