Product description
This is 'Portrait', a unique sculpture by the Belgian artist. The work depicts an abstracted, ethnically inspired face placed on a robust olive wood base.
The sculpture is crafted from wrought iron, for which the artist utilized traditional forging and welding techniques. The rough, oxidized surface of the metal contrasts sharply with the natural texture of the wood. The work is unique and signed by the artist in 2024. The dimensions are 46 centimeters in height and 18 centimeters in width.
The object is in excellent condition, where the natural oxidation of the iron and the cracks in the wood are part of the original design and character.
This sculpture fits perfectly into an eclectic or industrial interior. The work comes into its own on a sideboard or in an open shelving unit, where the layered texture and use of materials draw attention.
