Product description
Elegant Art Nouveau or Neoclassical-style mail holder with inkwell and oval mirror, made of finely decorated silver-plated metal. Includes:
■ A cut-glass ink flask, encased in its housing decorated with scrolls and floral motifs in relief.
■ A hollowed-out base for feathers or small accessories, with rich bas-relief decoration: foliage, rocaille cartouches and crosses.
■ A back panel, designed to hold mail or letterhead, is surrounded by a floral wreath and topped by a carved bow.
■ A small oval mirror set in a decorative vertical panel, surrounded by foliage, stylized flowers and topped with a ribboned bow. This original mirror shows slight oxidation of the tain due to age. It was probably intended for quick grooming gestures or simple decorative refinement.

Glass bottle in good condition, with chip. Cabochon missing.
