The Braun T 23 is a rare, iconic vintage portable radio, designed by the influential industrial designer Dieter Rams between 1960 and 1962. The T 23, also known as the "Kofferempfänger," is a classic example of functional minimalist and timeless German design. The controls are minimalist, with white thumbwheels for volume and tone, and a blue tuning knob. Comes with a brown leather carrying strap. Dimensions 22.5 cm (H) x 20.5 cm (W) x 9.5 cm (D). A special feature of this version is that it receives 4x shortwave (SW) and 1x medium wave (BC) frequencies. Could not test as batteries are missing, but looks very neat inside. 1-2 small cracks in the bars on the back (fig. 17), minor damage on the back/top (fig. 18), and some discoloration on the top left side, but possibly polishable (see fig. 19); otherwise in good condition.
