Product description
- Vintage lithophane porcelain boudoir lamp
- Brand: 'Schierholz Plaue Porzellan 1817' from Germany. Stamp on the bottom indicates it was used after 1967, so it dates back to the second half of the 20th century.
- Made of white glazed porcelain with narrow and wide gilded edges and decorations (laurel garlands and two cherub heads).
- The lampshade features a detailed relief with playful pin-ups that only become clearly visible when the lamp is lit. The lithophane technique works based on light transmission. Thin sections allow more light through (bright spots), thick sections allow less (dark spots).
- Dimensions: H: 49cm x D: 20cm
- Condition: In good vintage condition and working order. Original wiring. Small tear where the lampshade is attached to the base with a screw.
