Product description
Rare Mid-Century Modern candle holder figurine,
colorful and full of character.
This high-end collector's item was created by
the famous Pride Creations house in the 1960s.
Entirely shaped and hand-painted in Japan, it
perfectly illustrates the unique craftsmanship of Japanese
artisans of the time in working with lacquered papier-mâché.
It takes the form of a female character with a Pop
and psychedelic style, topped with a stack of rings serving
as a receptacle for a taper candle.
The decor features graphic patterns of flowers and
hearts typical of the Mod movement of the sixties. The underside
of the base retains its authentic original label
"© Pride Creations Inc. - Liber Importers", guaranteeing
this vintage Japanese export manufacturing.
