Private sellerProduct description
This is a distinctive Pop Art bedside lamp manufactured by Polam in Poland during the 1960s. The piece exemplifies the bold, playful design language of the era, characterised by its vibrant colourway and striking geometric form. Constructed from metal and plastic, the lamp features a bright orange base and shade, contrasted with a white interior to optimise light reflection. The adjustable shade allows for directional lighting, making it highly functional as a reading or accent lamp. The design reflects the Space Age and Pop Art movements prevalent in Eastern European industrial design of the period. The lamp remains in great condition, preserving its original finish and structural integrity. It functions as intended, retaining the character and charm of its mid-century origins. This vibrant piece serves as an excellent accent in a retro, eclectic, or modern interior. It pairs well with other mid-century modern furnishings, adding a touch of historical design and a pop of colour to a bedside table, desk, or shelving unit.
